There are multi speciality hospital, shopping malls, super markets , vegetable market, fish market and meat market is at the heart of kakkanad. Just 7 KM to the Entertainment park Veega Land

Kakkanad, in Thrikkakara region, is home to various industrial parks including the government-promoted Infopark , the Cochin Special Economic Zone and the Kinfra Export Promotion Industrial Park.
The presence of the Collectorate and Civil Station has also made it the administrative capital.

It is quiet and beautiful place to live. MIR Realtors - Jade Heights 1 is less than 3 K.M. from Info Park, 0.2 K.M. from Sun Rise Hospital and 3.5 K.M. from Lulu Shopping Mall.

Kakkanad has attracted many developers from within the state and across India mainly due to the huge demand from the IT crowd for apartments. The much talked about Smart city project coming-up in 250 acres is opening up its 6 lakh sq.f of IT space by mind of 2015, will pep-up the sagging demand for apartments witnessed for the past 2'years.
The Current prices for apartments in kakkanad for completed projects is in between Rs.3900/Sq.ft to Rs.4750/Sq.ft depending upon the type of development.
