Vasai is one of the most densely populated towns in all of India.
Its merely 60 kms from the heart of Mumbai city. It is on the Western Railway line and is also a junction for outstation trains. In fact, the longest distance Rajdhani stops at Vasai as it is now a main junction. A Separate central line is now in function connecting Vasai to Diva-Panvel-Bhiwandi and onwards to Pune etc via this line.
Vasai has a plethora of Schools, colleges and other educational institutions. It is home to one of Mumbai's most prestigious Polytechnic college, Vartak college.
Vasai has a complete mixture of people as well. There is an assortment of Temples, Mosques and churches here.
It is well connected by road to Mumbai on the south side and Gujarat on the North.
Vasai east is an industrial hub right upto pelhar phata. A lot of import and export based companies and manufacturing units are located in Vasai.

Pros:
  • Superior connectivity to Mumbai and Gujarat by road
  • Railway junction is now a connection to all of India via the western and central line
  • Water availability as well as access to Healthcare services and Educational institutes
Cons:
  • Improving electricity scenario. In many place there is no more load shedding - power cuts in monsoon

Vasai West is recently upgraded to the level of a Municipal Corporation, Vasai falls on the proposed Delhi Mumbai Freight Corridor of the Central Government and is a pleasant residential neighborhood. With the latest spree of infrastructure development projects and expansion of railway lines the connectivity has only gone from being good to the best - whether its with western or central line (special shuttle service to Diva Jun.) - via both rail and road networks.

Pros:
  • Close to the Station
  • Convenient proximity to entertainment and shopping hubs
  • Easy access to schools, banks, hospitals, ATMs, utility stores
Cons:
  • Electricity load shedding at times

Vasai west is a very good place to live. Most of the residents are engaged in their own work. It is a safe place, like at 1 am at night also you will feel safe and there is continuous autos at 1 am also which is the important thing.

Pros:
  • Safety of family by personal experience
  • Everything nearby in Vasai west
  • Water is BMC which is available in most of the localities and sweet tanker water is also available
Cons:
  • Electricity is still a concern but Mahavitran the electricity service provider has improved a lot
