The highlight of this road is that it is linked with Gandhi Maidan.
It has some very important business points like PMCH, Civil Court, Bankipore Post Office, Patna Market, St. Joseph School etc. Since many important establishments lies in this area yet it is neglected completely by the concerned authorities. There are many encroachers on both the left and right side of the area right at the nose of Pirbahore police station, yet no action is initiated. Infact when I tried to find out I came across number of people who said that Police is paid for it by these encroachers and as a result the entire footpath and other areas are occupied by them causing great unrest and annoyance to the passerby. On top of it the government has installed some bus stops. What for is it? It is occupying unnecessary space. No bus stops there. It is a shelter space for smackers and vagabonds. The government crores of rupees is invested in it. Plenty of money must have gone to the officials and the minister who passed such a project. The Chief Minister and other many high profile ministers and officials have crossed this area several times but they are blind folded. Do we pay the tax for the government officials to extract money from people for installing unauthorized stalls and encroaching the area? The Pirbahore Police Station is only vigilant in checking helmets and extracting money. For this they are very active and vigilant. If the same effort they apply in other much useful outcome the result will be appreciative and commendable. But they wont do so.
There is heavy traffic in this area in the afternoon hours when the school finishes at 2PM. Efforts should be made to ease this situation. Unauthorsied parking is done in the night but police maintain silence.
Efforts should also be made to de pollute the area which is polluted by the autorickshaws and buses which normally runs on kerosene. There is no checking drive for all this. The high profile cars have black glasses but there is no check. One day something untoward will take place and then the government will awake in take action by checking on these points. It will go on for a week and then again the same illegal happenings will start taking place again.
