SHANTINIKETAN ALTAIR is a development by SHANTINIKETAN ASHRAYA , a partnership firm promoted by Mr.Kamal Gupta - A graduate civil engineer from IIT Delhi, who has been in the property development business since 1973.

He started his career as a partner in M/s. C Lyall & Co in Delhi. During this stint he had executed 2 landmark buildings - the Press Trust of India Building on Parliament Street and 23 Storey Vikas Minar of DDA at IP Estate.

He subsequently moved to Chennai and joined Southern Investments (SI Properties) as one of the 4 partners and served as Joint Managing Director of SI Properties till 2000.

During his stint in SI spanning close to three decades he has built and delivered thousands of apartments spread over Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore, Trivandrum and Cochin. Some of the prestigious landmarks built by Mr. Kamal Gupta are as follows:

• Barton Centre, Fernhill Gardens and HighPoint in Bangalore
• Century Plaza, Fountain Plaza and Chesnea Nilgiris in Chennai
• Saraswathy Niliayam in Trivandrum
• Temple Trees in Mysore

Mr. Kamal Gupta was one of the founding members of CREDAI and was part of the deliberations which led to the Charter, Objectives and Memorandum of Association of CREDAI.

He started Shantiniketan in the year 2000 and over the last 13 years he built and delivered over 10 millions sq.ft.

His focus has always been on ensuring that the clients receive an apartment with an impeccable title, fully conforming to rules and regulations, built with attention to detail and in harmony with the environment.
