Kushal Nagar is a city with beautiful scenic beauty. It lies between Mysore and Somwarpet. This city is just a 30 kilo meters away from the heavenly city Madikeri and just 80 kilo meters from historical city Mysore. You will find lot of things here like. Wild sanctuary, Elephant safari, Tibetian golden temple, Harangi water dam, holy river Kaveri and farms and estates you will here.

Kushalnagar is entry point of Kodagu (Coorg district) if one approaches it from Bangalore/Mysore side. It is located on SH 88 which connects you to Mangalore via Madikeri, Sampanje, Sulia, and Puttur. The route takes you through some forest areas and coffee plantations. Excellent road all the way up to Mangalore. Kushalnagar offers a lot of boarding and lodging facilities to suit low and high end budgets. Lots of new hotel properties have come up with a wide range of tariff. Peaceful and safe town. Reasonable level of medical facilities backed up by a govt hospital. Lots of schools and colleges with lack of qualitative education.

  • A town in a hurry.
  • Rising property prices.

Kushalnagar is near to Mysore and is in Coorg dist.Karnataka state. It is 30 km from Madikeri which is a hill station.

Pros:
  • Less rain
  • Kaveri river passes through this town
  • 90km from Mysore and Hassan
