Locality Reviews Sector 26, Panchkula

Sector 26 is a unique in many ways. The Herbal Park and the Ghaggar river allows this development enough space to breathe. As a result it feels open and airy. It is the best sector beyond Ghaggar. It is laid out on a flat area, unlike sec 25 which is uneven. Sector 26 has the maximum number of parks in the entire Panchkula urban estate. Sector 28 is too far off and close to sewerage treatment plant. Sector 27 is undeveloped as of now. Hence 26 is the best choice. Panchkula is always better than Mohali because it is Haryana. HUDA management is much better than GMADA or PUDA.

Pros:
  • Herbal Park, Ghaggar River, Airy/Open. Respectable gentry
  • Well planned layout, Parks, Lake coming up nearby
  • Close to Panchkula IT park - will employ 25000 people eventually
Cons:
  • Temporary Dumping ground closeby - to be shifted after verdict by Green Tribunal
  • Approach Road from pkl is being four laned - currently road is in bad state
  • NH-73 four laning is also stuck with wildlife clearance
