People of Kondhwa are just like other people all over the city. Trying to make ends meet. You shouldn’t judge them entirely based on what people tell you.What might happen though as a normal person, you might be invited to the IID celebration and offered shir kurma or a helping of biryani. Yes, that is because there are more muslims living there than in other parts of pune. Or, so it might seem. It might also be that you are invited home of someone for diwali or something else. Punekars are celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi with lot of enthusiasm.
The areas of Kondhwa, Lullanagar, Fatima Nagar and Wanowrie have been one of Pune’s recently developed residential areas.
kondhwa lie under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and there are major project in Infrastructure and upcoming development.

KONDHWA is prime and centrally located area of PUNE. All main areas say CAMP and PUNE station are in close proximity and easily accessible. The basic temperature of Kondhwa is one degree lesser than PUNE, my building is located on a hill, and my flat is located on the 8th floor.
Being on a height there is clear view on all 3 sides.

Kondhwa is among Pune most recently developed residential areas, which is said to be a fast growing suburb. It is located in southern Pune and shares proximity to Camp and the Cantonment areas. Kondhwa has linkages to the Pune Railway Station, Pune Airport, Swargate Bus Stand, Kalyani Nagar, Hadapsar and Deccan Gymkhana which are eminent and important areas in the city.
Over the last few years, Kondhwa and NIBM Road have emerged as prominent residential destinations for the workforce employed in central areas like the Cantonment/Camp area as well as areas like Kalyani Nagar and Hadapsar. Apart from the working population, this micro market is also preferred as a post retirement residential destination for ex-servicemen staying in the Cantonment area. Its proximity to the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway through the Katraj Pisoli Road is an added factor.

Kondhwa is an upcoming locality and rates there will be shooting up soon. It has been a late bloomer but is moving up & up compared to others that have gone up already.
