Kalwa is a Suburb of Thane. It has been rapidly developing especially on Mumbai Pune Road. New area of Parsik Nagar has rapidly expanded in a managed way in last 5-10 years. It has all the required amenities right from vegetable vendors to general kirana stores. Dominos store opened in Parsik around a year back. Also, Reliance opened its cash and carry format store "Reliance Market" just around months back. This area has been developing well. Though the older Kalwa near station and Naka is still the same and lack proper roads. You can definitely consider buying house in Kalwa especially on Kharegaon side on Mumbai Pune Road.

  • Older areas like market area, Kalwa Naka are quite crowded

Kalwa is very active city in Thane. It is a true reflection of India especially Indian middle class. Kalwa is well known for its Khadi and bridge which is built during the rule of British. Kalwa is developing at rapid space with new and renewed construction found everywhere. The best thing about city is that 80% of people come from Maharashtra from every corner of it. Everything is available here from school to college, from theater to mall and Various Hospitals of their own class. Recently Reliance Mart also got opened in Kharegaon which is 5min from Kalwa
