More than just a commercial office space in Navi Mumbai, Seawoods Grand Central is designed to be a destination people head to for leisure too.

L&T's signature development, Seawoods Grand Central (SGC), will redefine Navi Mumbai — one of the largest planned cities in the world — as an exciting and vibrant ‘Swachha Smart City’ of the future. The sprawling 40-acre project is being modelled on the lines of transit-oriented development across the world, including the acclaimed Canary Wharf in London, International Finance Centre in Hong Kong and Shinjuku in Tokyo. Transit-oriented developments are more than just business addresses; they are mega business hubs offering seamless integration of enterprise and entertainment. Similarly, Seawoods Grand Central will serve as a bridge between world-class transit systems on one hand and culture and commerce on the other.

The TOD encompasses state-of-the-art workspaces and shopping malls, snazzy restaurants and hotels, and fun-filled recreation zones, converging around a major transit station. In this case, the modern Seawoods- Darave railway station on Harbour Line is the transit point around which L&T is developing its SGC. Described as a walkable mixed-use development, the TOD enables people to do a wide range of activities — be it work, shop or play — without the necessity of transport.

This integrated development helps to save considerable time, money and energy, lower emissions and boost environment, and raise the overall standard of living. Connectivity and accessibility are two major features of Seawoods Grand Central. Getting to Navi Mumbai is now a breeze with Airoli Bridge, Vashi Bridge and Eastern Expressway providing quick and smooth access. Add to it Navi Mumbai’s existing six rail corridors, and what you get is a location that is easily accessible from every corner of the city.

And if that’s not enough, the Seawoods Railway Station offers good connectivity to the entire Mumbai suburban network. And that’s not all. Mumbai’s satellite city is easily reachable from Mumbai and Pune, and within striking distance of crucial logistics hubs like JNPT and the proposed international airport in Navi Mumbai. It is just five minutes from Belapur CBD, 10 minutes from the proposed Trans Harbour Link, close to NH-3, NH-4 & NH-17, 45 minutes from Mumbai’s business districts, Nariman Point and Bandra- Kurla Complex, and a mere 90 minutes from IT hubs, Hinjewadi and Chakan, near Pune.

Designed and planned by HOK, a global architecture, engineering and urban planning firm, L&T’s flagship project is truly revolutionsing urban design that puts the focus more on people and less on cars. This unique urban trend is in keeping with the growing importance of Navi Mumbai which has been developed as a counter-magnet for big sister Mumbai whose infrastructure is already stretched to the limit. With the independent and self-contained metro city on the first list of the Government of India’s ‘100 Smart Cities’ vision, Navi Mumbai’s stock is destined to rise in coming years.

L&T’s Seawoods Grand Central is being developed on the concept of an entirely self-sufficient Smart City where every aspect of urbanisation — from infrastructure to mobility — is factored into the project. This premium and ambitious commercial venture will take cosmopolitan Navi Mumbai, currently home to 2.5 million people, to new global heights.
