The classification of Industries is proposed to be simplified with prohibited category and non-prohibited category subject to proposals regarding specific category of industries permitted in different use zones. Further, all planned industrial areas arc designated under a single land use category namely Industry. The standards prescribed by the pollution control authorities would have to be met by all industrial units, in addition to specific conditions in terms of number of workers and power load in specified categories.
