Debrupayan was established in September 4, 1991 by Shekhar Debnath. Debrupayan is Kolkata’s premier real-estate developer, engaged in meaningful living and extending the scope of quality real estate beyond limits.

Pioneering new trends in the real-estate domain, Debrupayan introduced retail residential concept and pioneered EMIs in 1997-98. These living solutions were yet to gain currency in North 24 Parganas (Barrackpore, Titagarh, Khardah and Sodepur, among others) at that time. However, Debrupayan changed the real-estate dynamics, and a substantial number of dwelling units in and around Sodepur and Kolkata were sold on EMIs by the Company in the 90s.

Debrupayan started land acquisition on a large scale 2001 onwards, and sold 4,700 plots between 2002 and 2014 (with 300 plots remaining for sale). The land value increased from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 7.5 lakh per cottah in mere 12 years.

With a pan-India customer base, Debrupayan remains steadfastly focused on continuing to build dreamscapes that will transform lives and create new benchmarks.

Debrupayan currently employs over 45 associates and provides site-based employment (direct and indirect) to over 5,000 workers.
